Dan Schulman began working for Mother Jones as an investigative reporter, creating groundbreaking stories that led to his promotion to associate editor. Schulman formerly worked for the Columbia Journalism Review and his work has appeared in the Boston Globe Magazine, the Village Voice, and the Boston Phoenix, among other publications.
Dan Shulman and host Zack Sherwood discussed the finer points of investigated writing and took some questions from students regarding journalism careers. Dan talked about his career as a journalist, building relationships as an investigative reporter, blogging and the future of journalism. This interview was filmed in the fall of 2007.
